Rent a soundboks with tracker and insurance
For Roskilde Festival 2024, we offer you the option to rent a soundbox with insurance and GPS (AirTag).
Price for GPS and insurance: 1,500 DKK
Insurance deductible: 1,500 DKK
The price for GPS and insurance is exclusive of the rental fee. This means that the total price for renting the soundbox, GPS, and insurance is 4,000 DKK.
If the soundbox is stolen during the festival, you only pay 1,500 DKK (the deductible). We cover the rest of the value of the soundbox.
This is how it works
1. Book
Start by booking on our website. If you have any questions before booking, you can check our FAQ or call our number.
We will get back to you 24 hours after you have made your booking.
2. Prepay 500 DKK of the rental
Once we have clarified your questions and confirmed the rental period, you will be asked to prepay 500 DKK of the rental if you choose our Standard Package. If you choose our Insurance Package, you must prepay 2,000 DKK of the rental.
The prepayment is made via MobilePay or IBAN to our business account. This ensures that we can reserve a soundbox for your camp.
3. Delivery to the festival
We deliver the soundbox to the festival site. The soundbox will be delivered on Saturday, June 29, 2024, between 12:00 - 19:00 at the address: Vor Frue Hovedgade 84, 4000 Roskilde.
Here you can make sure that the soundbox is working. Upon pickup, you pay the remaining rental fee (2,000 DKK). Here you can also ask any questions you may have 😄
4. Pickup at the festival
On the last day of the festival, we will pick up the soundbox again at the same address. The soundbox will be picked up on July 6, 2024, between 12:00 - 16:00. It is only possible to return the soundbox on the last day of the festival, July 6.
Alternatively, the SOUNDBOKS can be transported to our warehouse in Copenhagen afterwards.

We deliver the soundboxes on the 29th of June. You can pick up the soundbox between 12 - 19. We'll be at the South entrance at the address: Vor Frue Hovedgade 84. However, we will only leave the festival site once everyone has received their soundbox.

If the soundbox is stolen, it is your responsibility as the renter of the soundbox to replace the value of the leased equipment. Read more in the terms and conditions here. However, this only applies to the standard package, where the insurance package, of course, covers insurance. Thus, you are only liable for your deductible of 1,500 DKK.
The soundbox can hold power for up to 40 hours and five hours at maximum volume. Therefore, 1 x battery and 1 x charger always accompany the rental of a Soundbox for Roskilde Festival.
Yes, you can definitely charge it! You can either use the charger provided with the rental. Alternatively, for 50-100 DKK, you can exchange the battery for a fully charged one at the SOUNDBOKS stand at Roskilde Festival. However, we are not involved in this. Contact SOUNDBOKS for more information.
Our terms and conditions mean that you do not have to pay if the camp causes scratches/dents/bumps on the soundbox. Read more about our terms and conditions for Roskilde Festival.
No, you do not have to pay a deposit when renting from us.
We have not yet experienced any of our Soundboks 3 units breaking down. If it still happens during a rental, all our Soundboks units are covered by a warranty. This means that almost all damages are covered by this. If it is not covered, you are liable for the damage. Read more in the terms and conditions here.
The battery is of course fully charged upon pickup. A charger is also included with the rental.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to rent a soundlock from us. However, you can purchase GPS and insurance for 1,500 DKK in addition to the rental as an alternative to a soundlock.

Do you want to rent a Soundboks for the Roskilde Festival?
Tents, wet goods, and large sports bags are already quite a handful to lug onto the festival grounds. Add to that having to carry your luggage on the train, and you have the recipe for a cumbersome start to the festival. A SOUNDBOKS makes the entire packing even more unbearable to carry onto the festival site. That’s why we offer to deliver the SOUNDBOKS to you at the festival site – so you only have to worry about hauling all your own stuff onto the site. Pretty cool, right?
The price of a Soundboks 3 with two batteries and charger costs 7,800 DKK. It can be purchased from the company Soundboks or from HiFi Klubben. It’s a lot of money to spend on a speaker, just for a single week at the Roskilde Festival. Then there’s the decision about who will have the SOUNDBOKS standing with them after everyone at the camp has chipped in to pay for it?
Therefore, in most cases, it makes sense to rent a SOUNDBOKS. If you use a SOUNDBOKS several times a year, you should definitely get your hands on one. You can buy it right here. If, on the other hand, you only use it a few times, it’s better to rent a Soundboks. Then you don’t have to break the piggy bank and spend almost 8,000 DKK on the big speaker.
This means that if the SOUNDBOKS is stolen during the rental, we can track it down. There are many arguments for why you should rent a Soundboks instead of buying it. Most importantly, it is probably cheaper and safer to rent a Soundboks.

The lack of power makes everything a bit difficult, and it’s not uncommon for rain to pay a visit during the week of the festival.
